Areas of pastoral/spiritual support include, in particular:
- Doubts regarding the choice of a future spouse

Meeting with a Family Life Counselor

This is a meeting where the counselor offers support and attempts to help resolve the reported problem. The first meeting with a family life counselor is a consultation session where the individual presents the issue, and advice is given, potentially along with a proposed plan for follow-up meetings. The advice from the family life counselor may involve assessing and suggesting possible appropriate solutions. During the session, potential challenges and difficulties in implementing the chosen solutions are discussed with the individual(s). As part of the counseling, there is an opportunity to obtain assistance and improve relationships in marriage and family through:

- Learning proper communication
- Identifying the causes of conflicts and learning how to resolve them correctly
- Education on nurturing marital and family love
- Developing a parenting model for children
- Sexual education
- Learning family planning methods
- Support in grief
- Support after the loss of a child.

Support from the Family Life Counselor is provided free of charge.

Motherhood and Fertility

If you are experiencing difficulties with breastfeeding or are preparing for breastfeeding because your child is about to be born, we encourage you to seek professional advice from a lactation consultant.
If you and your spouse have decided to start learning about tracking the female cycle, both the regular and irregular patterns, we invite you to a meeting with an instructor of the Creighton Model System (CrMS).
